Jerry Utethe, a patient of end stage kidney failure, requires immediate financial intervention for proper medical treatment for his worsening health condition.
Prior to his current predicament, the 51-year -old had undergone a previous kidney transplant in India in 2009.
He had functioned without any mishap until August this year when problem reared head again. Now a shadow of his usual vibrant and energetic self, Jerry has been diagnosed of a second kidney failure and is now rendered totally incapacitated.
The illness has turned the Utethe family’s joy into anguish and misery, as he now compelled to undergo regular haemodialysis just to stay alive. Each session of dialysis at Life Support Medical Centre, Ikeja, costs N25,000 – N30,000.
Currently, Jerry who lapses in and out of coma, has amassed a huge medical bill, that is being undertaken by family, friends and other well wishers.
The Utethes are appealing to kind-hearted Nigerians, corporate bodies, philanthropists and the general public to assist in helping to raise the required sum that is now the key to their bread winner’s survival.
