  According to Punch , A reliable source told Saturday Beats that the actor had taken his ex to court insisting that she drops his last name. Saheed who said few years ago that he would soon stop his ex wife, Fathia Balogun, from using his name now looks like he is set to do something about his verbal threat.   Saheed was quoted to have said “She is my ex. As for my name that she is still answering, the deed will be done soon. The Nigerian law says that after three or four years, you can do something about it. If somebody wants to keep my name, what of the new person coming in? This has nothing to do with grudges.”   Fathia who also boasted in an interview last year said nobody could stop her from using her name.   Samsung is planning to release the successor to its flagship Galaxy S4 Smartphone in early 2014. The device they say will come in two version. The premium version will have a metal chassis and flexible screen while the lower end version will have plastic casing and a regular screen. Although the specification of the two versions of the phones will be identical with display size expected to be around 5inches, using Super AMOLED technology and with a pixel density of around 560ppi.   Leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, who was arrested on Tuesday in Cotonou, Benin Republic has been released around 1am on Thursday . This was possible as a result of  President Goodluck Jonathan's intervention. His lawyer, Festus Keyamo, confirmed his release.   Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, cleared the air about the rumour he regarded as “blackmail and mischief”. Rumour has it that President Goodluck sent down his presidential jet to convey Asari to Abuja from Benin Republic where he was detained. Dr Abati in an interview with State House correspondents said the report was an attempt by some people to package lies as the truth hoping that gullible people would believe them.

  A Florida-based firm has designed a floating city called Freedom Ship that would spend its entire time at sea. President Jonathan has given one week  ultimatum to call off the on-going strike otherwise they face sacking.   The Lagos State Police Command arrested a 22 year old man called Eji Emmanuel (pictured above) for alleged murder of a 39-year-old trader, Sylvanus Okoye. Emmanuel claimed he did this as self defence when the trader decided to rape him. According to new reports, Aero Contractors, partly owned by the Ibru family has changed its name to Nigerian Eagle, and will most likely be the official national carrier. It is reported that the airline will be unveiled this Sunday as the nation's national carrier by President Goodluck Jonathan on his return from the UK. "There will not be Aero Contractors anymore. It is now Nigerian Eagle and it will be launched on Sunday by Mr. President. You will not see Aero anymore after the launch of this airline”. Sources told Thisday on Wednesday. Superior Court Judge James Brandlin ordered the singer to spend another three months in a residential treatment facility, submit to drug testing and take medication as prescribed by his doctor.
