Ijaw National Congress President, Sen. Tari Sekibo slumps and dies

 
Senator Tari Sekibo, President of the pan-Ijaw socio-cultural organization, the Ijaw National Congress (INC) is dead.
Though the cause of the death of the President of the INC, aged 70, could not be immediately ascertained, it was  learnt that he slumped and died Monday morning, outwardly appearing from heart related ailment.
Senator Tari Sekibo was reportedly rushed to the Federal Medical Centre where he was  pronounced dead on arrival.
 
The late Sekibo, an Okirika high chief from Rivers State was in Yenagoa ahead of the planned executive council meeting of the INC slated to hold at Ijaw House.
The meeting, it was learnt was to deliberate and take a position on the crisis rocking the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) worldwide which recent national convention is now a subject of litigation.
 
May his soul rest in peace...(Amen)

Birthdays Are Perfect Times To Reflect

Birthdays are always worthy of celebrating and it's that time of the year, most people look forward to. Many of us look forward to this day to celebrate in different ways/ grand styles.....Some spend it partying,  clubbing, drinking, praying etc. one of which I'm guilty of. Just recently, I pondered over life and realized, as each day passes by, minutes after minutes ,every passing hour, Time is just of the essence. That time is drawing closer and faster than we could ever imagine.The most scary part of it is, no one knows when?
